Bak Kut Teh. Not just any Bak Kut Teh, but the hot peppery goodness of Ng Ah Sio Bak Kut Teh. From legends, the pork is rumored to come exclusively from a farm in Malaysia exclusive to them. Open only in the day, by evening comes, this popular pork ribs in soup dish will be sold out.
Famously, known as the place that refused Donald Tsang, the former HK Chief Executive, to open a few hours later to cater to his schedule. Now, it is just known as my favourite Bak Kut Teh place anywhere.
Granted, prices are not the cheapest here, still there is a price to pay for the good quality. Fried Dough Fritters soaked in the delicious soup, white fluffy rice, good quality meat. Slightly tough for a touch of a bite, yet tender enough for one to sink their teeth into.
As Paris Hilton would put it, "This is Hot". Peppery Hot.
