Seafood Galore

Dublin is a coastal city, therefore seafood is part and parcel of its cooking. Unfortunately, being the poor student that I am currently, all the posts that you see here is the exception not the norm. Hoping that the weekly farmer's market might have some cheap produce to last this broke student through the week, I set off to the Temple Bar Farmer's Market. Small, quaint, with little stalls selling organic produce and baked goods at prices that I cannot afford. I was about to leave when i saw the oysters !

Trying to justify to myself for shelling out S$4 for an oyster, I kept repeating to myself on how the Oyster Festival at Galway was S$250. Anyway, I could only afford 2 but it was worth it. Freshly shucked in front of me, big, juicy, YUMMY !

But that was not enough to last me for 10 minutes. Soon I was hungry again, and I noticed that everyone around me had a pack of fish & chips. I could SMELL the vinegar in the air. But where was it coming from ?

Ta-Da.. Oldest Chippers in Dublin. They actually put up a long list of celebrities that have eaten their fish & chips before. If it's good enough for Bono, it's good enough for me.
