Highlands, Lowlands, Whiskey & Haggis

I think I will, I think I won't, I think I will, I think I won't. In the end, I finally did it ! Went to Edinburgh with my classmates, rented out a service apartment, rented a car, drove to the north most part of Scotland.

Day 1: Arrived at night to Edinburgh. By 11:30pm, most of the shops and pubs were closed due to the government restriction on the selling of booze. Got a bottle of Bell's whiskey to kickstart the trip. I woke up feeling like I was going to die..-l-

Day 2: Picked up rented car and started on the road. It was a gorgeous day. There was hardly any rain clouds in the sky. We drove to Stirling Castle first.

Next stop was a long drive to Iverness, the capital of the Scottish Highlands. Along the way, there was Lochs.

Landscapes ..

Loch Ness !! Unfortunately, it is winter right now. The sun sets early, really early.

Day 2:
Glasgow

The only Scottish cathedral left untouched by the reformists..

Mackintosh - not the Apple computer but the famous architect.

The Lighthouse - Showing Scottish Architecture

The exhibits in the Lighthouse was boring. But the little touches of the building really endeared it to me.

Whiskey Tasting at Glengoyle..

Ate Haggis at a Scottish pub

Day 3: Edinburgh
The castle..

The Old town - Royal Mile

Calton Hill

Watched a sunset at Calton Hill at 3:15pm ...
