Hachioji Restaurant - Taipei

Was on a weekend long work trip to Taipei. The night came by fast and the hotel introduced me to a nearby Japanese restaurant..

I had heard that the best Japanese restaurants out of Japan was in Taiwan. So here i was, at a Japanese restaurant, 10 minutes to its closing time. They did not have an ala-carte menu. So i picked the cheapest set and the whole exquisite experience began..

Vegetable starter .. Light, almost Vietnamese light with the rice roll and the avocado

Sashimi - fresh ! I hate sweet prawns but this was sometime else, now i know why they are called sweet prawns...

Beef Hotplate - 5 slices of thinly sliced beef slowly cooking on the hotplate. Interesting sauce

Crab on mashed radish with mushrooms and scallops. It was like a chawamushi but substitute egg with mashed radish

Ricebowl, miso soup

Mini lobster

Tea with red bean mochi dessert

This used to be Chen Shui Bian's favorite restaurant. It is not too bad, but i have to say that the presentation was amazing.
