A Kaiseiki Dinner in New York

At Sugiyama exactly. Known as of one of the those understated restaurants in New York, i decided to go there for dinner when one of my favourite yakitori diners were full with a 30 minute wait.

I ordered the 6 course dinner.

Monkfish liver with tofu - smooth and delicious

Sashimi platter - with oyster, king salmon, blue fin tuna and other goodies.

Radish, Baby Eel that tasted smooth like noodles, Silky smooth tofu skin with lobster(Good !), Organic Mushroom

My chef who was slogging along.

Yummy grilled black cod with pickles & rice.

Yummiest grape jelly.

It was a good meal with a fair price but it just made me all the more curious on what else they can do on the 10 course kaiseiki meal.

Till next time ! to Japan i will go :)
