We went broke from Tsukiji ... all the sea urchins that we bought, all the sushi that we had... Heaven in a market :)
We went to a different sushi restaurant this time round. It wasn't as crowded as the first one that i went too. In fact, this felt more cosy and homely.
Delicious, meaty, fresh oysters
Tuna, Ark Shell, Sweet Prawns, Tuna Belly
I had ...Wagyu of the sea again... Ootoro-sama ! ..ahhhh
I really wanted to order this dish after spotting it all over the market. 太白子 or ..fish sperm .. Delicately cooked in a miso soup. It was light, fresh, and creamy.
We didn't order too much at the restaurant.. because .. we had
Fresh Hokaiddo Sea Urchins to finish. In glorious rows of 8 x 8 x 3 layers ... it took us an entire day to finish it. Best S$50 we have ever spent.
I called them our Scallop Steaks ..
Fresh Salty Fish Eggs.. we couldn't finish it all on the same day, the next morning, it was breakfast, mixed with our instant noodles. The decadence of it all .. ahhh
We headed off to the Imperial Palace... as it was a working palace, it was mostly not open to the public. The surrounding parks around the palace were free for us to explore ..and we did .. while picnicking on our treasures from the Tsukiji Market on this beautiful day ..
A visit to the Yasukuni Shrine was in order.. we found it a beautiful park with a shrine..
There was a touching board where last will and testament of the dead soldier was displayed and rotated on a monthly basis. An English translation was available for all.
Our last stop of the day was Akihabara, the electronic city ~
We located an 'interesting' life style shop ..of 7 floors with nothing but PORN !
